LOA x2!!!

Time for an update and a little summary of the past few months.

We received our referrals in December (Ayla) and January (Isaac). Following us "accepting" our referrals....how could we not?!...we submitted our Letter of Intent for each baby. We received pre-approval for each little sweet face in January and moved into the wait for our Letter of Approval (LOA). The average wait based on when our file enter the review process was 4 weeks. I was SOOO excited and CLEARLY confused. I was waiting on pins and needles for our LOA on week 4 and then week 5 and week 6...7...8...9...10... I clearly forgot that this adoption process must be difficult or non-typical at every.single.step. During week 10 of our 4 week average wait our lovely agency inquired about our LOA. Great news! They would be sent out with the next batch!! Yea! Or not. Not in the next batch....or the next but finally the third batch.

On March 25 at 4:38 pm we received the email stating that our LOAs were at the agency!!! The agency overnighted them to, arrived Tuesday and back in the mail within a few hours. The signed LOAs along with our immigration applications arrived at our agency Wednesday and our immigration paperwork (after checked by the agency) was mailed out today! We are now officially waiting again. For something else. We have now entered step #724 which, on average...haha....,should be 2-3 weeks! Following this step we will complete steps #725 to # 914 then we will fly to CHINA to meet Ayla and Isaac!

The question of the day is when will we go to China. I think we should travel in early June. There are many steps between here and there so the date won't be set for approx 8 more weeks. We are SO much closer now.
